Melody’s Mozy Experience

Before Mozy, staying warm at outdoor events was always a challenge for Melody. She loved being present for family moments, but the cold often made it hard to enjoy them fully. While her husband was perfectly comfortable it was sometimes too chilly for her to sit still comfortably. “I would end up having to make excuses to go to the bathroom or buy concessions to get a chance to warm up,” Melody recalls about attending springtime minor league baseball games in Wichita, Kansas with her husband.
Meet Melody
Melody now lives in Colorado Springs, Colorado, and describes herself as a semi-retired empty nester. She attends outdoor activities with her husband, her children, and extended family. Her journey with Mozy began back in Wichita, where her daughter gave her a Mozy as a gift. That thoughtful gesture changed how Melody experienced chilly outdoor events.
Mozy at the Ballpark
Springtime baseball games were a favorite outing for Melody and her husband. While he could sit comfortably through the game, Melody struggled with the cold. Mozy made a real difference. “I was so thrilled when my daughter got me Mozy as a gift and it actually worked to keep me warm and content at those chilly baseball games.” Melody also wears custom Velcro family photo patches on her Mozy, saying, “it’s kind of like I take my kids with me.”
Holiday Lights at the Cheyenne Mountain Zoo
One of Melody’s most memorable Mozy moments happened during a holiday visit to the Cheyenne Mountain Zoo lights display in Colorado Springs. “That evening temps got down to 25 degrees!” she remembers. Melody had three Mozys—one for herself, one for her daughter, and one for her son’s female friend. “We spent 3 hours at that lights display in 25 degree weather! Mozy really worked best when we were sitting - like when we took in the drone lights show or when we sat to enjoy a hot chocolate. But even when we were walking, we just adjusted the Velcro closure to allow walking room around our feet and all 3 of us wore Mozy the entire time. We never would have lasted that long without it. We saw the entire thing, we didn’t cut the visit short at all!”
Mozy for Mountain Cabin and Campfire Nights
Melody also brings her Mozy on summer trips to the Colorado mountains, where her family rents a rustic cabin and enjoys campfires at night. “I bring my Mozy there too. If it’s on the chilly side (which it usually is!) I know it will keep me warm. And I love that it’s flame retardant so I don’t have to worry about it near the fire. And it’s so convenient to just ‘wear my blanket’ that way if I need to get up and assemble s’mores or go get someone something I can very easily.”
Mozy for Mountain Cabin and Campfire Nights
With Mozy, Melody no longer worries about being cold at outdoor events. “I don’t really worry now if I have outdoor events that will be or could be cold. I just know I’ve got my Mozy and so I’ll be fine. And at the event itself it’s just like having a solution for my lower body that actually works (like I have for my upper body) so I’m covered all the way around. And I can enjoy the thing and not be looking for ways to escape the coldness of the moment.”
What Makes Mozy Different
For Melody, Mozy stands out from other blankets and jackets. “It’s the freedom I have to be up, down, walking, sitting, all while having my hands free for something else, staying warm and comfortable and not having to constantly re-adjust something wrapped around my lower body.”

Melody says, “Well all the ladies in my family love it. I’ve got 3 Mozys at home now that I keep in the hall closet for anytime someone needs one.” And they are well loved by everyone who uses them. But her husband and son have their own take: “My husband jokes about needing a Mozy (in the middle of a cold event he’ll be like ‘where’s mine?!’) but if you seriously offer him one he will decline.” But Melody says they love Mozy because it means they get to be with her longer at chilly events that don’t seem to bother them.
Who Would Love Mozy
Melody believes Mozy is for “Anyone! If you would wear a blanket, why wouldn't you wear a Mozy?” She recounts how Mozy wraps around you like a blanket but actually stays on and keeps you even warmer. “If you find that you end up avoiding things or cutting things short that you enjoy because you’re too cold while doing them - you’ll love Mozy!”

For Melody, Mozy means she doesn’t have to miss out anymore. In her own words: “Warm. Cozy. Comfortable.”
